This policy explains what information Mind Trace ("the app", "we", "us") collects from you when you use it, how that information is used, and the controls you have over it.
We have written this policy in plain English. We are committed to collecting the minimum amount of information necessary to run the app and keep it working, and to never selling your personal data.
Mind Trace stores the following on your device using your operating system's standard preferences storage. None of this leaves your device. It is not "collected" in the regulatory sense; we cannot see or access it.
When you uninstall the app, all of this data is removed from your device by your operating system.
Mind Trace shows two types of ads — a rewarded ad you can choose to watch to continue after running out of lives, and occasional interstitial ads between runs. To serve these ads, Google's AdMob SDK collects:
AdMob uses this information to choose which ad to show you and to report aggregate ad performance to advertisers. AdMob is operated by Google. Their handling of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
You can reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised advertising, at any time via your device's system settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
To understand how players use Mind Trace and to find and fix crashes, the app uses two Firebase services:
Firebase Analytics collects anonymous information about gameplay events such as:
Firebase Crashlytics collects anonymous information about app crashes:
Both services are operated by Google. Their handling of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy.
We use this information solely to improve the app. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose other than running Mind Trace.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with marketers, brokers, or any third party other than the Google services described above. Google's services receive the data flows described in sections 2 and 3 strictly to provide the advertising, analytics, and crash-reporting functions Mind Trace uses.
If your device's region is set to the EU, EEA, or UK, Mind Trace shows you a consent dialog the first time you open it. This dialog asks whether you accept personalised advertising. You can:
You can change your consent choice at any time from the in-app settings ("Manage privacy").
Your operating system gives you the ability to reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalised advertising at any time:
These controls apply across all apps on your device, not just Mind Trace.
Mind Trace does not maintain a server-side record of you, so there is no account to delete. The data stored on your device (your progress, settings, etc.) is removed by your operating system when you uninstall the app. The anonymous analytics events Firebase has already received cannot be tied back to you individually, but you can request Google delete data associated with your advertising identifier via Google's privacy controls at myadcenter.google.com.
Mind Trace is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child under 13 has used Mind Trace, please contact us at the email at the top of this policy and we will take reasonable steps to address the situation.
This app is rated for all ages but, because of the advertising component, it is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families program.
Mind Trace is operated from the United Kingdom. Google Analytics and Google AdMob, the third-party services Mind Trace uses, operate globally. If you access Mind Trace from outside the United Kingdom, please note that data may be transferred to and processed in countries with data protection laws different from your own — specifically the United States, where Google's servers are located.
Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and equivalent mechanisms covering the UK and Switzerland; see Google's privacy policy for details.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.
Personal information collected: the information sent to AdMob and Firebase as described in sections 2 and 3 above. The categories covered are: identifiers (advertising ID), internet activity (app interactions logged by Firebase Analytics), and geolocation data (country-level only, derived from IP).
Sources: all such information comes directly from your use of the app and your device.
Purposes: to serve ads, to understand app usage, and to diagnose crashes.
Sale of personal information: we do not sell your personal information. We do share advertising identifiers with Google AdMob for the limited purpose of serving ads.
Your rights: you can request information about what we hold (it is the categories listed above), and you can request deletion (limited by the same anonymity constraint described in "Your controls → Deletion").
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email at the top of this policy.
We may update this policy occasionally — for example, if we add a new third-party service or remove one. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. If the change is material (e.g. we begin collecting a new category of data), we will notify users in-app the next time they open Mind Trace.
If you have any questions about this policy, your data, or how Mind Trace works, please contact us at:
